Cooper Landscaping, located in Waxhaw, North Carolina, has officially been sold to a new owner with the assistance of VR Business Brokers. Cooper Landscaping  specializes in providing superior service to clients who did not want to handle their own lawn service, including mowing, edging, trimming shrubbery, and fertilizer applications. Started by AG Cooper in 2001, AG Cooper has had lots of fun working with hundreds of clients over the years but felt it was time for somebody else to take over the business and pursue growth opportunities which he had not been pursuing.

The Salisbury, North Carolina, franchise location of The Cleaning Authority was recently sold with the assistance of VR Business Brokers of Charlotte. The Cleaning Authority franchise, with headquarters in Columbia, Maryland, is one of the nation’s leading providers of residential home cleaning services with more than 200 locations. The Salisbury location had been owned by Cathy Garret for nearly 10 years. For nearly a year, Cathy tried unsuccessfully to sell the business through both her franchisor and a loose national network of franchise brokers. She then engaged with the services of Randy Mitchell, Business Broker with VR Business Brokers of Charlotte, and a 17-year veteran of franchising. Through a geographically focused marketing campaign, Randy found a local buyer and the transaction was closed within 8 months of engagement.

Hoodz of Greater Charlotte, a franchised provider of commercial kitchen cleaning services, has been sold to a new owner with the assistance of VR Business Brokers of Charlotte. The Hoodz franchise, a division of Belfor Global, serves restaurants, schools, hospitals, caterers and other commercial kitchens in maintaining clean exhaust equipment and food preparation areas.

Shipped4Me was a Matthews NC based packaging and shipping facility providing fulfillment services to e-commerce businesses worldwide. The founder had started the business just two years earlier and had quickly grown it into a profitable business with a strong reputation for responsiveness and dependability. “Though my business was relatively small and young, at only two years old, VR Business Brokers treated me with full service and professionalism,” reported the owner, who requested that his name be withheld.

A ten-year-old location of Smoothie King was recently sold by VR Business Brokers of Charlotte. The Matthews NC location had been owned by Clayton Hellner. It was a challenging assignment, for Hellner needed to sell it within 3 months! Huy and Kim Vu were the long-time owners of V Cleaners, having purchased the business also through VR Mergers & Acquisitions some 20 years earlier. Now, they get to pursue their retirement dreams of travel and developing other business interests.

ImagineTime Software, a Rutherfordton, NC software company, has officially been sold to a new owner with the assistance of VR Business Brokers. ImagineTime is a practice management software company built specifically for accounting firms. The software was developed by Fred Lindsley, a CPA who created the software to run his firm and grew to over 1500 clients. Fred's wife Kathryn, was instrumental in helping Fred market the software and assist Fred with growing the company. Fred & Kathryn hired VR Business Brokers to help facilitate the sale.

Consignment LKN, a Mooresville, NC consignment store located in Mooresville Festival Shopping Center, has officially been sold to new owners Laurie and Allen Reavis with the assistance of VR Mergers & Acquisitions.  Consignment LKN, open for more than ten years in their 15,000 square foot location, has provided consignment service primarily specializing in furniture and furniture accessories. Owner Denise Slagh has grown the business into the go-to consignment store of the market area providing quality products and a high level of customer service. Denise decided it was time to retire and sell her successful business so she could enjoy time with her family. She hired VR Mergers & Acquisitions to help facilitate the sale.
